Its filename is mm-hugetlbfs-fix-cannot-migrate-the-fallocated-hugetlb-page.patch This patch should soon appear at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mm-hugetlbfs-fix-cannot-migrate-the-fallocated-hugetlb-page.patch and later at https://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mm-hugetlbfs-fix-cannot-migrate-the-fallocated-hugetlb-page.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Muchun Song Subject: mm: hugetlbfs: fix cannot migrate the fallocated HugeTLB page If a new hugetlb page is allocated during fallocate it will not be marked as active (set_page_huge_active) which will result in a later isolate_huge_page failure when the page migration code would like to move that page. Such a failure would be unexpected and wrong. Only export set_page_huge_active, just leave clear_page_huge_active as static. Because there are no external users.
