Right now, the kernel only supports mmio32 in the 8250_dw.c driver when probed with ACPI. Other x86 machines just use legacy 8250 ports which don't need entries in the DSDT and use legacy io. The 8250_dw driver does support non-standard clocks specified in the DSDT. That works fine for Mustang and m400.
