I'd say my fundamental problem is that I am stumbling about in the dark. To be honest I haven't even worked out the benefit of the yaml bindings. I identified the stm32adc binding as the most up to date file to use as a reference. If there is a better one then can you let me know. I will work through the comments to try to understand and then implement them.
